Part 1: the museum
When we'd mentioned a photo-taking trip the last time Rathi was here, Ferrahn and Errand had quickly said they would be coming along. Kamahn, of course told us not to be ridiculous. As if he, the brat, would be interested in being photographed around places. *rolls eyes* But on the day itself, I had planned to only bring Razkil because I knew it would be hard juggling more than one body. But his sneaker-encased feet would not allow the Volks violin case to shut properly. And I was afraid of the damage to his lil feet, so I changed carrying bags. And of course, with the bigger bag, Ferrahn and Errand could actually fit and come along in the physical. Silren as it was just came along without his physical shell.
Razkil and Ferrahn seen through the opening of the bag. *grin* Errand was stuffed in next to their legs. During the car ride to Mars' place, I had the bag unzipped and on my lap, and had the joy of looking at Razkil throughout the ride. *grin* |
The museum and the royal tombstones that we were planning to look around are near Mars' place and since I was transportless, she was the one who drove us around. This is the car Mars was using to drive us to the museum. *grin* It is actually a very small and cute car, not as long as the angle of the picture makes it look. |
And here are our eager participants on this 'let's be tourists!' trip! *grin* I've been to the museum before when I was a child. But since I don't remember it much other than the few pictures that my mum took of me, this is truly the first visit for me. The museum is closed actually, since it's Christmas and a public holiday, but Mars had only intended we take pictures outside where the canons were.
Actually, we had a hard time finding the canons. *laughs* There had been three, but there's currently only one left. *_* These canons were from the time when the Spaniards were invading/adventuring around Borneo.
Here we are, waiting for Mars to be done taking pics of Rathi. *grin* This is the only canon left. Maybe the other two had been moved to inside the museum itself?
The boys get their turn posing with the canon. *laughs*
And since we're on this trip with Rathi, how can we not take pictures with her? *grin*
When the day had begun, I had been relieved to see such a cloudy day. But of course, when we headed to the museum, the sun began to beat down on our heads. Ergh. It was a good thing I stuck with the decision to put Razkil in long sleeves to prevent sunburn. *grin*
A totem!! OMG. When I had first seen this I was like: OMG, is that a totem?! Why do we have a totem?! (Please take note, in this water buffalo's mind, totems belong to places like the South Americas or Easter Island types. Haha.) Apparently, this totem is a gift from the Sawarak state in Malaysia to the country. *grin* It's soo tall. I love it. Razkil is so tiny next to it.
Please take note: never leave your boy standing by himself if you are not sure that he can stand and not fall over at the slightest wind. Because for pictures like this, you will be quite a distance from him and will not be able to catch him when he decides to topple over. *_* No Razkil didn't fall over. But I thought a general warning would be fun to give. *laughs* Cos sometimes, I do forget Razkil isn't as stable as he used to be. *grin*
The back of the totem is actually hollow! ^o^ Of course I was going to take pics of Razkil sitting in the hollow. *grin*
This really is a very nice gift, I'll have to say. The amount of work that went into carving this whole thing... Doesn't a bit of the carving look like some alien monster baby? I wonder if it's supposed to be some forest animal.
Here's Razkil with Rathi. *grin* Her hair is soo long. *_* I love this wig of Razkil's and kind of consider it his default. I'm so glad it's so hassle free. *laughs*
