Seph came home from work to find Razkil, Errand and Silren sitting on an armchair.
"Is he's all right?" she asked.
"We don't know," Silren said.
"When we went to look, Evien was sitting with his arms around Luthien and he wasn't moving." Errand hugged Razkil. "I think maybe he's gone too."
"No, he isn't," Razkil said quickly. "He's just very faint."
"Faint?" Seph repeated with dread.
"Ferrahn thinks you might be able to move their bodies back inside later," Silren said, gesturing at her towel. "Go take a shower and do your things online. He'll call for you later."
"All right." She nodded at them and went out.
.
Later that night, she carried a cold Evien and Luthien to her room. Faint, Razkil had said. She wasn't sure if Evien was still there at all, and had not dared to probe and ask in case he lashed out at her.
She gave the two to Kamahn and noticed with relief that Evien's arms had tightened around Luthien slightly.
Ferrahn sat on the arm of the chair next to them.
