page 13 . . . The 10 Courts of Hell


The end of the 10 Courts of Hell exhibition led back outside. This is the other end of the park and we'd have to turn back and walk through the exhibition again to get back.

This scene depicts filial piety. This woman is breast-feeding her mother-in-law who no longer has any teeth and so can't eat.

I don't really recall what this scene is about. But you can see people working.

Lots of scenes of animals and stuff.

They're probably wondering what Ferrahn was doing there. ^_^;

Again, no idea what these scenes are. At this point, I couldn't take many more pictures as my memory card was running out. ^_^;

Some more scenes depicting humans and their behaviours, I guess. This one has someone helping a man take a thorn out of his foot, I'm assuming.

No idea what this could be, but maybe the man on the left is about to rush in and assault the couple on the right! *o* The woman could be his wife for all we know. ^_^;

Another scene I know nothing about. ^_^

Whee! Anthropomorphic elephants and bears attacking a giant grasshopper! And no, I don't know if this has any basis in Chinese mythology. *grin*

They were kinda cool though.

That's right. Ferrahn's Jiminy Crickett telling Pinocchio (mr elephant man) what to do. Okay, so now we had to walk back through the Courts of Hell to get back to the main park.

The man's reading out proclamations of punishments, maybe?

Sorry, can't read the chinese text. But it's awesome how nice to size it is. We can pretend Ferrahn had been to some part of China! ^_^

The detail they put into some of these figures and sculpts are really cool.

There's the cold ice pond we'd seen earlier on.

With flash, you don't really get to sense the atmosphere of all the scenes.

Eeks. A man skewered and look how calmly Ferrahn poses in front of him. *_*
