page 14 . . . on the grounds again...


And so we're out of the 10 Courts of Hell and back in the main park grounds again.

This is a large diorama of animals at war. They're almost anthropomorphic--and modern. (I guess I should have used the word diorama from the beginning instead of statue/figurines/scenes, but I came across the word only while writing this page, so I can't be bothered to go back and change it all. ^_^;)

Here's one of the battle casualties. Though from the picture, it looks like Ferrahn is triumphing over his kill. ^_^;

This is why I'd said they were modern. They've got medics on the battlefield!

It looks to be a war between rats and rabbits. The rabbits are on top of the diorama. See them?

This is one of the last pictures at the park. After this, we paid and looked inside the Jade House (sorry, don't recall the real name of the place). It's just a room housing a lot of jade items. ^_^ The man looking after the jade place was interested in Ferrahn and wanted to buy him. ^_^; He'd been outside watching us take pics and stuff before we came in. *grin*

This tiger is lifesized. *__* Sooo awesome!

They grouped the jade together according to colour.

I prefer the more colourful pieces myself.

You can spend a long time staring at this one. I couldn't capture the detail properly as the small jade pieces were enclosed in glass displays.

And now we're out of the park! We're walking towards the parking lot, looking back. I had not noticed this large guy by the large sign at the entrance. *_*

No idea who he is or what he's holding. ^_^; But he looks cool. His kitty cat ride has a large bell around his neck, doesn't he? *grin*

And this is the tiger we'd seen on the top of the Haw Par Villa sign when we'd neared the entrance. And so ends a very satisfying and memorable visit to Haw Par Villa! ^_^
