This was the other side of the place, where the other graves were. The ones on the right (on the path), I bet you'd not have known they were grave markers.
And behind us is the tomb.
The shadow didn't allow for an impressive picture. ^_^;
Here's a better look of the...tomb, I think you'd call it? O_o Personally, I have no idea why it's so large. It have a feeling it's hollow inside. Because I bet if I'd tried, there's a slab there that I could probably have been able to lift up. (It does look as if that's been done before. I looked and could see that it was hollow inside.) I'm very pleased they built such a simple and beautiful structure around this tomb.
And actually, in front of the tomb, below it, you see this. Of course, we have no idea what it is, and who's grave it is. -_- We don't really seem particularly keen on keeping historical facts around the historical sites itself.
Here's a better pic of the two. Actually, considering the new tiles on the ground around the main tomb, this smaller one might as well have been part of the big one. You never know. I doubt anyone had good pictures of the whole thing before they went and built around it. -_-
If you turn around, here's the view. The fort is just in front of us. And that frangipani tree middle of all the graves... I have stories about that. *laughs* They seem to always be found in the graveyards. And in ghost stories, when you smell frangipani, you know something's near... *laughs* Admittedly, as we were walking around, I had been smelling the flowers and found that it fit the place, though I didn't get any feeling of er...fear. *grin* Luckily. ^_~ But still though, if I smell frangipani and can't find the source, it does freak me out a bit. ^_^;; But like the prudent reader of ghost stories, I'll not mention it to anyone in case something _is_ there and decides to appear. ^_^;;
And now we enter from the back to take a closer look at the tomb. There's a gate too, which isn't locked. And appallingly, on the left, which I didn't capture, is an office desk and chair. Hell. -_- Mars said it might be for the security guard, if there was one. WTF. Put it on the grass or something. T_T Things like this just spoil stuff. *sigh*
I like the pleasing design. Don't you? No stained glass, but something that could pass off as an accepted modern design.
It's just a pile of big rocks, one of the two had said. -_- Well, I'd like to see someone place carved rocks over your grave. =P
Since they were so small, I just sat them down and took pictures. ^_^;
Here's a look at them sitting at the corner.
Here's the view of the other(?) tombstone in front of them.
It's carved stone. *_* Imagine all that work put into slowly chipping away at the stone to get all those shapes and designs.
