Part 3: With Nature
We're walking back towards the car, and of course I had to take pictures of the boys with the trees. I love trees with large roots like this one. Can you see them in the picture below? *grin*
Actually, I just love taking pictures of the boys around trees and natural surroundings. I wonder if it might have to do with the fact that I've been surrounded by trees all my life (though not we don't actually live in the forest among them). Razkil had first appeared to me in a dream in a forest. ^_^
Silren definitely enjoyed being here a lot more than being around the graves. I didn't want to ask, though I'd wondered. If bodies retained energy residue, wouldn't we just have been stepping over a smorgasbord of energy left behind? Energy that probably transfered to the earth surrounding the body. I am curious about whether that energy still carries a signature of identity. Or if the ground had absorbed it all indifferently. Malays/Muslims don't cremate, as far as I know; everyone's buried. We'd actually been walking over bodies. Though they're so old they probably isn't much left now..
Anyways. Errand wanted to know why we never take pictures with all the trees we have in our backyard. -_- Let's just say that I do not like mosquitoes and I get attacked by them even when we're not under the trees. I shudder to think of being such fodder under the trees.
Ferrahn, of course, just said I was a lazy bugger, and that I wouldn't have been bothered to carry them around. Luckily I had been enjoying how lovely he looked and so couldn't be bothered to retort (or try to find some shameless excuse to counter his remark).
But really though... it's not often I am able to take pictures of the boys in such lovely surroundings. ^_^
Here's Razkil with a cliff in the background. *grin*
Dear me. Must I say again that I do wish I could take pictures of the boys in places like this often?
And Errand insisted on this picture being shown. -_- Yes, he's rather proud of being one of the rare stuffed rats who go around places and have pictures taken of.
The actual cliff is just the earth that had not been eroded away because of the large roots over them. A perfect example of how trees and their roots help to prevent too much soil erosion. *grin* (I loved my geography back in grade school. ^_~)
In the background is the resting hut we passed through in the beginning and are supposed to be heading back to. *grin* Errand very happily said that I was so big the only part of me that could appear in pictures are my hands. *laughs* I'm holding Razkil there because the ground didn't allow him to stay balanced.
