page 2 . . . Haw Par Villa grounds

Since we had Ferrahn's cat with us, Lyndia and I pretty much tried to include him in as many pictures as we could... *grin* So here he is on a giant blue bird. ^_^;

And er...two bunnies whose eyes make you think they're on crack--or well, highly sexed. ^_^; That other bunny _is_ sniffing the other's (who is keeping _really_ still) butt. *dies* Did I not say there were _weird_ and almost obsene statues all over the place? Maybe vulgar is the better word.

A really nasty looking ferret; now this guy really looks like he's crazed. Or maybe he's a weasel. Do they have ferrets or weasels in China? O_o

Ferrahn sits on a calmer ferret.

This car belonged to one of the owners of the park.

I mean, wow, it even has whiskers, you know? *_*

There were a lot of tigers around the place since the people who owned the park were the makers/producers of the famous Tiger Balm (a medicated ointment/balm). ^_^

I think the poor dear has a toothache, and Ferrahn isn't making him feel any better. *grin*

The grounds were _large_ and there were so many things to see. Even though some of the statues were in disrepair, most things were still brightly painted.

It wasn't only the grounds that are large. *grin* Most of the stuff there were larger than life. *laughs* Yes, there's a man standing in the middle of the pic there.

And now we're where the man had been. Lookie! Ferrahn's in the pic too!

Er... I wish I could tell you more about this large statue... ^_^;

They were taller than I was! I can tell you that. *grin*

Check out the deco around the steps and the path... Whoever had been hired to create the garden really put in a lot of detail in their design.

Toads humping! Woo! *laughs* This was just one of the many animals and such around the main statues and sculptures. Why are they humping? I wouldn't know. Is it significant in Chinese culture? Are the Chinese casual about their sex? Are we bold in expressing our inner urges? Er...who knows? Maybe staring at the toads some more will enable you to think up more theories. (That could be the purpose they serve, if nothing else. *grin*)
