Tonight, I finally attempted to updated the AR Diary’s wordpress blog. It was an update from 1.5.2 or something to the latest 2.5 or something, so the big jump was a bit of a concern. Looking around, I got worried over how complex it seemed, then I came across a solution which only had me adding a plugin and exporting my entries. I tested the import on a trial blog and it worked perfectly. Hohoho. So I deleted the old diary and installed a new one via Fantastico. Which was a mistake, cos it deleted my whole diary folder, which had all my pics in it. -_- I’ve just uploaded the 2006-2008 picture folders and haven’t done the ones before as they aren’t that important.

The blog’s up again, and it’s the second latest version. I’ll probably upgrade to the latest version when I feel like uploading all those WP files manually. But for now, it seems all the entries are there. I just need to find a theme I like and tweak the appearance of the sidebar menu a bit. No time for that. I’ll do that next time. *laughs*

I’d bought the crimson black DSL, thinking of an upgrade (of colour), but I didn’t like it and have since sold it. But with the two DSes, we’d previously been able to play Elite Beat Agents and other games together, which had been awesome. *_*

Yeah, we’re still around. *grin* Everything’s been in a state of neglect these days. Well, okay, so things have been in a state of neglect for months (dare I say years? T_T), but especially so since the beginning of the year. I’ve been so busy with night classes and all that that I haven’t really had the energy or inclination to do anything on my night offs.

But yeah, I’m still alive. We’re all still alive and doing well. Here’s a few random pics… ^_^

This is a nohohon zoku I bought cos I’ve always wanted one. This version is a commemorative 5 million one, and it’s kinda plain, but it’s based off corn, and I love corn so…. Actually, I had a $10 voucher from Play-asia, and since this was $9.90 and shipping was free, I bought it. ^_^; The other colours they had back then didn’t appeal to me so I bought this plain one. I meant to keep him in the office, but it wouldn’t nod at all without any sunlight so I had to bring him home. -_- Strangely, at home, it nods away happily at any time of the day.

And here’s Luthien with a DS his size. You can’t see it that well, but we’re kinda glad we got one to take pics with. A colleague had given to it me when she came back from her HK trip. ^_^

Went to Mars’ place to try Damyn’s new pants on our Yuki (Damyn’s at her place for clothing measurement). I’d hoped to buy similar sized pants from the same seller, but it turns out that Hound waists are smaller than SD16. ToT The pants are Hound size and they fit Damyn (Latidoll Red) perfectly. I’d always assumed Hound were larger, and that their pants were actually loose on SD16s. ToT Rather disappointing really. So our Yuki doesn’t get new pants after all… T_T

Anyways, I hung out at Mars’ for a while and took the chance to take pics of Yuki with Mars’ Ash. People tend to like taking pics of the big guys with the tinies, so I thought I’d do it too. ^_^

So here’s Ash looking uber miserable on Yuki’s lap.

I don’t think he likes our Yuki very much. Hahaha. Or me either. *grin*

Hahaha. Our Yuki’s so cute. (Okay, the plushies too.) I don’t recall if I’ve ever mentioned, but we’ve pretty much gotten used to our Yuki now and adore him to bits. ^o^ He’s still a pain to pose because he’s so top heavy in the chest area. -_- And he’s still apelike with his long arms and big hands, but we love him. ^o^ His face is just sooo beautiful. ^__^ I don’t change the boys so often nowadays (since we have so many), so the lack of clothes for him doesn’t bother us so badly… Though when we have to take photos, it does. *laughs*

I _did_ commission a couple of pants for our Yuki… The pants I’d commissioned years ago from Leigh fit Yuki perfectly. But it’s a pair that Razkil and Kaesh wear regularly, so Yuki’s tends to have to wear with the brown ones in the pic. Let’s hope the new ones fit him fine. Then we’ll have extra short pants that he can wear too. *crosses fingers*

I’d like to get Yuki a couple of new tops… *wince* I should try to start selling stuff again… -_-

Forgot about these! ^_^; Some photo stories featuring Iksir. Was supposed to put them up the last time, but forgot. ^_^; (as usual).

I’d written the previous post about Iksir before I’d done these photo stories. I think Iksir’s coming along really well . Like Sakaki, he seems to interact quite well with everyone. ^_^

I’ve yet to take pictures of Iksir with Vahri’s boy though. Must do that when I remember next time. ^_^

I took Iksir out for some pics in the Shirou Tachibana school uniform. Here’s a couple of pics that didn’t make it into the main photo shoot. I still dislike taking pics outside the house during the day, no matter what the hour. -_- All my pics always look so weird… T_T Ah well…

Our delinquent student ‘Tachibana Shirou’ has escaped class and run off somewhere:

I look at the photo shoot and at Iksir and wonder if that’s the ‘Shirou’ whom Yukinojou fell forbecame friends with. Somehow, I kinda get the feeling we’ve got the right ‘Shirou’ feel off him; A teenager who’s carefree, sometimes bored, sometimes a little bit vulnerable, but with attitude to spare. Looking at him, I kinda just feel that I got to know and own the ‘Shirou’ Mikey and Volks created. I dunno. It could just be me. But I’m really happy with him as, in truth, I’ve always wanted ‘Shirou’, not as a doll for someone, but ‘Shirou’ for me. It’s why I had been really pleased that I liked his faceup and wouldn’t need to change it. I suppose it’s how I feel about Tsukasa as well. I want Tsukasa because he’s ‘Tsukasa’… ^_^; Perhaps I am into the Tokyo Shonen backdrop a lot more than I had thought.

If anyone doesn’t know the whole Tokyo Shounen story, it basically features a young man called Yukinojo and his three friends Shirou, Tsukasa and Isao. Shirou’s younger sister Jun also was part of the fold. The Volks ‘Another Yourself’ photobook which I’d bought just so that I could win a chance at buying Shirou the last time had pictures of all the boys and bits and pieces of them in Japanese and English. It’s good buy if you’re a fan of the Tokyo Shounen boys. Tsukasa’s still my dream boy and I _will_ have him in the future. Though let’s hope Volks rereleases him a lot further down the road when I can afford him. ToT

I’m getting a _bit_ attached to that black wig of his–distracting fringe or not. ^_^; I suppose, in a way, because I don’t see my ‘Iksir’ that clearly yet, covering up his eyes don’t bother me as much as it would with Razkil’s F28 or the other boys. ^_^

Just to set things straight, Iksir belongs to me, so he doesn’t have an owner like Ferrahn or Errand to dictate his personality and his tastes. He’s an empty ’shell’, if we use the terminology we’ve always used to refer to Razkil’s F28. He can be borrowed by anyone who wants to play with him, and no one can say ‘no, that isn’t how Iksir will act’ because there is no personality attached to the doll other than what we want to give him. Currently, he looks all right in pretty much anything we’ve put on him. He’s really versatile, and nothing feels ‘wrong’ for him yet. I kinda hope to keep him versatile. *grin* I think if we play with him more, he’ll probably start having his own ‘Iksir’ feel and his own personality, so to speak.

Anyways, it’s just a heads up so you don’t feel too surprised when you see Iksir or Kaesh manhandled by the others. ^_^; Like so:

Here’s a picture to share. I redid Miraj and Kaesh’s faceup again some weeks ago. I didn’t like Miraj’s lips so much and found his eyebrows too dark, even though I loved his eyeshadow. I loved the whole look, but it didn’t suit the feel I’d wanted for Miraj. Not to mention, with his looks, he stood out from everyone else. ^_^; This time around, instead of wasting time on his mouth with trying to do something even and dark, I gave him something light (though, it’s almost neglible). I’ll put up pics of Kaesh’s faceup the last time later–I’d loved the look, but overall, he was so pale he looked bad in pictures with the others. ToT

But for now, here’s what they’ll look like for a long time to come. ^_^

Miraj’s blush seems a bit off in the pics. Haha. *_* But in person they don’t seem so bad. ^_^; I guess I should have blushed his cheeks more than just the sides of his face; kinda forgot how pale he always looks in pics. His eyeshadow’s uneven too, but it’s my fault for blushing it on in the dark when I couldn’t see much. -_- Haha. But I’m pretty happy with the result for both Miraj and Kaesh. ^_^
